I haven’t seen a thread specifically addressing the VP9 A1. Does anyone have additional info?
True. They haven’t changed anything but the length of that mag design since the USPC…and no reason they should. With the VP9 and VP9SK sharing magazines I see no reason why a VP9K shouldn't share them as well.
Not exactly "falling off", but I'm pretty sure there will be applicable magazine extensions available sooner or later.
If somebody chooses a VP9K over a VP9, he's looking for a short grip to enhance concealability and not for "support extensions". If so, just use a VP9.
Yeah pretty sure HK fired the guy who suggested a P30A1 of further develop the P30 right after they took the company parking space from the guy who suggested a USPA1 lol. While I don't think there is a chance for the USP or HK45 as commercial/military/LE are all moving towards striker fired, it would be nice to get a OR version of the P30, as that is the only handgun besides the SFP9 that HK advertises in the "Military and Law Enforcement" section of their website so it is still "flagship" in that sense.
According to what @German posted on another thread sales of the P30 are behind even the USP. He can correct me if I got that wrong.Probably, just saying that is HK's next most modern/supported/widely adopted handgun after the VP9.
not having a “2020” update, optics cut, match, tactical or all of the color options is just digging it a grave.According to what @German posted on another thread sales of the P30 are behind even the USP. He can correct me if I got that wrong.
Disclaimer- I like the P30 personally and it is the most modern hammer fired pistol they make but I don’t think it sells well in a striker fired world…
That's basically what S&W did with the M&P 2.0 Compact. The barrel is only 0.25" shorter than the most common full size M&P 9/40 models. Those pistols would've had 4.0" barrels like the S&W 5900 series if it weren't for Canada's 105mm minimum barrel length law.So is this just going to be a compact VP9 or just an update?
the VP9 already has the same barrel length as a G19 IIRC, so I don’t know how they’ll make it anymore compact than just reducing the grip size.
The G19 size of pistol sells much better than the 'subcompact' size of duty-width pistols does, especially in a post slim frame/micro 9mm world. Not sure what this is bringing to the table that the VP9SK doesn’t…
Now we know why the VP9s have been on sale.Damn it! Now I have to buy another gun.......
A lot actually. Just search this forum for VP9C.Not sure what this is bringing to the table that the VP9SK doesn’t…
I think the sales are directed at increasing market share and moving the old stock(the not O.R. ready slides). Now we know why the VP9s have been on sale.
Can't speak for everybody, but it solves a minor gripe I've had for years. And I do mean minor. It shortens the grip. Not sure what this is bringing to the table that the VP9SK doesn’t…
