Our IDPA monthly match for May is on the 27th @ CVPR on Rt 63 between Waterloo and Hudson just west of the John Deere Implement.
As mentioned previously, any updates/changes to this match will be posted at the iliowa practical shooters forum (sign up is free) and our Facebook page.

Match Fee is $15.00

Match times are as follows:
Setup: 07:00/07:30
Sign in: 08:30
New Shooter Orientation: 09:00
Safety brief - stage walk through: 09:30
Shooting starts: 10:00

We had 25 shooters at our season opener, looking forward to seeing more of you this month! I'm still working on the stage details, we're sharing stage "foot prints" with the USPSA stages being shot at the BHPC Memorial Day match (more info on that can be found @ the Iliowa forum mentioned above.

If you are able to be there early for set up, any and all help is appreciated!

You're welcome!

IDPA has different classes from "Unclassed & Novice" to "Master" there's room for everyone of all skill levels. We all have to start somewhere. The big thing at first is to be safe, as a new shooter don't try to match others that have been doing this for a while in the speed department. This would be a pretty good match for a first timer, the stages aren't going to be overly complicated. Round count should be less than 100, but bring more just in case.

Come on out and try it, it's always good to meet up with some forum members. We had a couple of guys from one of the 1911 forums show up to the last shoot.
I have to double check with the board, but I'm pretty sure they waive the entry fee if it's your fist match.

There's a club closer to Solon, Linn County IDPA and they put on a pretty shoot.\

If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Hope to see ya' out there.

Ok, I got the stages written up, they won't be posted on-line as most of them are penciled in over the USPSA stages for our upcoming Memorial Day Match and my scanner isn't all that great.

We're looking at 6 stages for a total of 90 rounds, three 18 rd stages and three 12 rd stages.

Already plannin on it!
So far it's. Looking like four scenario stages and two skills stages...given the commentary regarding weak hand shooting and the over all points down of the "to and fro" stage it would be a pretty safe bet that you'll be seeing an 18rd weak hand stage (3 strings) and a distance stage.
