Many years ago my first Hk was a NIB Stainless USP Compact 45.
Didn't shoot it well and got rid of it quickly
I've never forgiven myself for letting that SS Compact go.
Many Hks and much more experience latter I've decided to resolve this long standing mistake.
Just went shooting/carrying my NIB 2015 SS USP Compact yesterday - Woo Hoo!

I need a USP for the collection and was thinking about this one since CDNN has them for $699. Just hoping they still have them at that price when the funds are available.

I like the thin mag floor plate. Did it come with that?
Barth can answer for today's USPc, but in the meantime I can say my 1998 came with one of each.

Everyone has their own preference. I prefer the pinkie extension because for my size hand the extra real estate give me a feeling of greater control during recoil, but I fully understand why others may prefer the reduced dimensions of the flat plate.

Barth -- congrats on bringing your world back into alignment.

Allow me to suggest the one newer generation part that made my USPc 45 better: the HK45's larger magazine release. Easier to hit and broader so it isn't the almost-painful pressure point on the finger to actuate, but without being so big as to cause inadvertent mag drops. A drop-in replacement.

Loving my new Hk

I like the thin mag floor plate. Did it come with that?
Nope, two mags with the extended floor plates.
Picked up some flat ones.
And added a LEM kit plus Heinie Straight Eight night sights.
Now it's set up perfect for my new carry gun.
I'm Loving It!

I put one of those on my USP Tactical 45 and had immediate live fire mag drops
Put back in the OEM part and problem solved.
Did upgrade my twin P2000 357s and P2000SK 40/357 with the extended mag release and love it.
No troubles at all.

Never read of any issues with the USP Compacts though, just FS.
I may give it a try.
Thanks.

Congrats on your replacement. I see you know the meaning of my motto: "Never sell an HK unless you like regret".
LEM, those Heinie 8s and the flat floor plates are the best way to roll, in my book. I love HK's SS.

Nope nope nope, the shine of that slide is all wrong. Better return it and get new ones until it's right.

LOL!!!
The finish is amazing.
Can't stop looking at it.
Really sets off the black frame.
I'm so glad Hk decided to produce stainless guns again.
Allowed me to right the wrong I made so many years ago.
I'm so happy with this gun!

Congratulations. It is a wonderful thing when we get the opportunity to correct a past mistake.
