I picked up an HK 91 recently that is marked:
"made in Germany
excl for SACO
Arl. Va. 22201
KAL .308
and on the other side
HK 91 A0178##
Just curious about this beautiful rifle's origin and vintage. It is in excellent shape and I would say it has barely been fired. I got a chance to shoot 20 rounds out of it today and HOLY CRAP is it nice. Very accurate and surprisingly soft shooting considering it had the collapsible stock on it. Also came with the fixed stock, 10 mags, test target and a document marked "Juni 79". What do I have here? BTW I love it. It does have the pesky button magazine release but I intend to replace that with a tac-latch if it will work on this rifle. Look forward to hearing from you gentlemen soon.
