I wanna know too

Based on the zero responses, I'm guessing Ray's Sport Shop was correct in saying that all HK longguns are banned in NJ. Is that true?
With the exception of the SL8, USC, and HK's hunting rifles the other factory HK long arms are not allowed in NJ.

Heres a link to the State Police detailing the States firearm laws....

If you want an MP5, HK91, HK93 ect you need to look at getting a clone such as Coharie, Bobcat, ect that it is NJ compliant: 16inch barrel, fixed stock, no flash hider, 15 round mags, ect.

The upcoming Professional Arms MP5 looks very promising. Although it is still a year or so away from being out.

Just another reason to leave this State
Thanks Mark. PS: Are you around Union County? I saw in other posts that you shoot at Rays. Me too. Mebbe we'll see you there sometime....before they close that is.

I am about 15 min away from Rays. I try to make it there as much as possible whenever work allows.

Have you heard anything about them closing? Thats news to me?
clones ark ok

Bobcats, JLD, Vulcan as long as theres no folding stocks or large cap Mags.
Only some dealers will order for you.

Mark, Me too. I live in Cranford. Yep, it's unofficially "official." The guys behind the gun counter told me so, but others in Rays are noncommittal. The gun counter clerk at Efingers said it had finally been bought out by the Nissan dealer.

That's a real shame. They haven't announced anything yet, and I'm hoping they don't for a long time. I wouldn't know any other public ranges to shoot on.

Well that sucks. The store is a ripoff with their high prices but I enjoy the range as it is cheap and close. I also shoot at shore shot in Lakewood but it is a further drive.

Hopefully if Rays does really shut down i'll be looking forward to a big "closeout" sale :D

Don't count on it, their going out of biz sale will probably INCREASE prices. LOL...

I also hear that there's a private club in Branchburg about 20 mins from Rays that is supposed to be pretty good. I believe the dues are around $200/year, which isn't so bad considering each round at Rays is $13.
HK SR9T IN NJ

Someone posted above that an HK SR9 is legal in New Jersey. Could I please get a confirm on that. Also what about the Vector Arms V51L which has a 16 inch barrel and can be fitted with a muzzle brake rather than a flash hider ? Much thanks, Dale.

Shoreshot is little closer then Bullethole. Yearly membership is $300 at shoreshot and they allow shotguns and will soon allow rifles. Does bullethole allow this as well?

yes they allow just about anything short of an rpg lol

only thing i can remember off the top of my head is no wolf or other steel cased ammo..

but yea ive seen people shooting sniper rifles (idk why the distance is only 25-30 yards max), ar-15s, and shotguns....i saw a female cop getting training on a shotgun and she blasted the light down range...idk how she's a cop...smh..

Standards are low in NJ
Telescoping (multiple position) stocks are OK in NJ correct? Just not folding stocks and of the such

It is only legal on a shotgun. Any stock on a longarm has to be fixed or pinned.

Ugh yeah that figures why i always see them on shotguns over at Rays and never on long guns. I was kind of hoping to get a Sig 556 in the future but i guess not :(
clone 22 lr

Anyone getting the MP5 clone in 22lr? Just curious. They have the 10 rd mags.
