I need recommendations for a good p30 holster for ccw. My criteria is comfort and ease of access to the weapon.

I prefer an OWB pancake style holster. They sit flat to the body and offer a good grip on the weapon. I personally don't care for the IWB carry, so a baggy shirt or sweatshirt is in order if it's sitting outside your pants. If you live in cold country this is no problem. For IWB you can look at the Crossbreed holsters, but depending on your size, it may get a bit crowded inside your pants at times while sitting for a while. The P30 is a bit large to tuck away easily, so mine is OWB (P30LS) and works out well enough. Make sure you clear the weapon with the shirttail moved first, before trying to draw, or you will have a tangle of clothing and gun butt.

If you are looking for kydex, it's hard to beat Raven Concealment. I'm carrying my P30 in a RCS Phantom OWB holster as I type this. The only drawback to RCS is the long wait time, 16-18 weeks. Don't get me wrong, the holsters are well worth the wait, but if you need something in a hurry, you may want to look elsewhere. I have used Crown Holsters and Personal Security Systems holsters, and both are quality products with not nearly the wait.

For kydex I go with com-tac.com

For finely crafted leather Holsters by RGrizzle. I prefer horse hide.

+1 on com-tac. I use the infidel. I am awaiting a Milt Sparks VM-2. I liked it for a couple of others so I thought I'd give it a whirl.

I love N82 holsters. I had a post about them on this forum before with a poll asking what weapon most carried for IWB. I got beat up so bad over it I eventually deleted it. Nice to see somebody else appreciates them.

Do you have the Kramer #2 or #3? Horsehide?

I had a horsehide #3 for a g19 which that model holster was actually designed for and it was great. I am
wondering how a p30 would carry in it.

I use the holster above for my p30. The Minotaur. It works very well. I tried a few others and they are not the same.

The great thing about the p30 holster is I can use it for my p30 and my p2000sk with no problems!

Some mentioned it earlier in the thread, but for me it is the VM II by Milt Sparks.

There is a good reason why Milt Sparks is worth the money, and the wait. IIRC I have 11 of them..

I can sleep with the weapon in the holster on my belt comfortably. Just one example of how comfortable they are.
