Newbie question here... I've been reading up trying to understand what exactly is a "reverse stretch". So far my understanding is that it's a special creation by Dakota Tactical where a regular MP5 receiver is modified by shortening the front end so that MP5-K hand guards/vertical grips and cocking handles can be used.
What exactly is reversed and/or stretched? To me it seems that it's more like a MP5 "front-end shrink" than anything else.
Maybe I'm wrong... Is this really a MP5-K receiver with an added extension to take MP5 stocks?
I'm not trying to be silly or offensive, I'm just genuinely confused (I'm new to the HK scene) and honestly trying to understand things. It's so difficult since many of the abbreviations in use on this board are non-standard or specific only the particular thread. Heck, just yesterday I realized that Black Market Parts is a brand name! And here I thought people had some sort of underground connection... Anway, thanks in advance for helping this newbie understand the wonderful world of roller-locked clones.
