Thanks kabob. Has there been any performance differences? ie, one outperforming the other, or any specific issues with either? I have a USP 45f and love it. Looking for something smaller for off duty carry and ambi for my beautiful southpaw wife.

Nah, they're identically made. The no-longer-produced German ones are more sought after because of the usual goofy "HK sensibility" you see around HK enthusiasts. Personally, I'd be proud to own the American-made HK45c as it means supporting jobs for our own shores.

I really don't care where it came from as long as it works as flawlessly as my USP. I had a FTF issue and through some posts here found out I needed new mag springs. Other than that little hiccup she runs like a boss. Thanks for the help!
