Goodness, more like who doesn't? TSC, MM, Guillie, TPM...
newbie question. what's steps are actually required? from the pics it seems like you just need to tighten the grub on the paddle?

unless I'm way off the mark

That's an extended mag release that attaches to the paddle.

He asked about the actual paddle because most clones and most real HK don't have them installed due to the shelve.
As for installing the paddle mag release. Position and drill the hole for the undersize pin and bushing. Cut pin to length, install the parts (pin, bushing, paddle) , swap out cam of the push button release to interact with the paddles cam, test it all works smoothly, weld pin in place and clean up weld, Refinish gun. While the actual conversion is pretty straight forward (fitting the bushing requires a touch of patience, last one I did had to grind down the one side of the bushing where the spacer is to fit) the refinishing of the gun adds to the expense of the job. Also one of the reasons guys considering doing this may choose to have additional work done they are considering since a refinish is typically in the process. It is well worth adding the paddle to the mag release. I would not build one and leave it out its is such a nice feature.
Michaels Machines did mine & it looks & performs awesome! Very pleased. PM him for pricing.
If its a SP5K, then nodrilling and refinishinjg is needed. Mike at TSC can do this.
