There are several...shall we say..."respected and in-the-know" types that are putting RMR's and the like on compact/smaller-than-full-size guns and swearing by them. Things like G19. Their argument is that the accuracy is more hindered by the shorter sight radius and not the barrel length. In other words, the RMR levels the sight radius/alignment playing field. So their assertion is that a dot might make MORE sense on a smaller gun than it would say on a longer gun that is already highly accurate and easy to shoot well as is.
