I just got back my approved Form 1 (filed online, 6 months for those who wish to know) for my G36c and am in the process of changing out parts, which brings me to the bolt extractor. In changing out the bolt, I am installing the SL8 extractor into the new US-made G36 bolt (new ones from Adam) using a new HK Factory extractor pin. To my surprise, it is a titch long (so protrudes ever so slightly) and can be moved in/out without tools -- so it is fairly lose. That leaves me concerned. There is nothing in the armorer's manual on this. When I look at the old SL8 bolt as well as the Factory G36 one, it looks like the pin is staked in some way to keep it from protruding at all and from moving. Does anyone here know the correct way to address this pin? I certainly do not want to have it coming out when the action is cycling. Thanks, John
