I am thinking of buying one to run on my MM-11 and would like to hear about anyone's experiences they have had with these in HKs or clones.

HKparts list a model expressly for the PTR type rifles; my M-11 has a PTR receiver. While shooting the MM-11 this weekend I tried an HK aluminum mag which had a sloppy fit in mag well. This, I believe, was the likely cause that lead to a round to feeding into the face of the bullet guide--pushing the round back into the mouth of the case. I'm thinking maybe I would want the orginal x-91 design which is reported to fit very snug in the PTR magwell so there is as little play as possible? My experience with the HK aluminum mag makes me wonder.

thank you

Get the X-91 drum for the PTR and you should be good to go! You will love it and be back for more. The X-91 drum is the way to go with the MM11 for sure:

What about the X-91 drums that I have seen where a lot of the aluminum material in the housing is removed to save weight? Are these avalible?
