I am looking for a builder to put the left hand cocking tube on my zenith z5p. I just heard back from parabellum combat and was told he does not work on the zenith and was under the impression from previous conversations that they could. So now I am looking for a new builder that can do this for me or at least some help to do it myself. Would hate to have to sell this gun as my wife has already stolen my CZ Scorpion Evo.

Also been looking at diagrams and is it as easy as it looks to remove the old and add new? Seems to be almost AKish? Pop out charging handle remove the hanger clip and remove...?

The charging handle itself comes out with a roll pin, the cocking tube is welded to the receiver and has to be cut out properly so a new one can be reinstalled. As for other HK gunsmiths you could try RDTS, IGF, Brethren Armament, and TPM outfitters. Do your research and contact them and see if they will perform the job

Front sight tower has to be removed, factory towers are soldered on, don't know on zenith, then carefully cut out the tube, weld new tube, re-affix sight tower. Difficulty I'd say 5/10. 8-9/10 being a build itself.

Learn the manual of arms properly. Adapt. HK never made a left handed MP5 and lefties have been shooting them for decades.

How about some comparison posts in another thread about the EVO and MP5/Clones! I'd like to hear that.

Agree w. egroeg....why not build up a lefty MP5 if you can. Choice is a nice thing.

I'm a lefty..... having to tilt the weapon a little on its side to give her "the slap" or a pull is nothing more than a learning curve.

Would a left handed cocking set up be nice? Sure.
But is it worth the investment/cost to get it installed?
What about re-sale? (Not that I'll ever sell my baby)

Personally I find the dang ambi-selector switch for lefties to be for more troublesome to reach.

I have an ambi-selector switch made by Flemming(?)

Clearly NOT and actual HK style and from what I can tell are no longer manufactured.

Here is a photo of it.
I cant seem to train my thumb to manage it very well.

You may have far better luck with an entire ambi trigger pack.

Don't listen to the haters, left hand charging handle is sweet. The link below was built for me.

Yes, us lefties have operated RH firearms for centuries and done very well, but it's nice to have something built for us every now and then. For you RH haters that say it does not matter, come shoot my LH M16 with suppressor and then tell me it doesn't matter.

Is factory ambi any better for you?

That's a damn fine looking rifle! Very interesting mod with the left cocker, you have to slap it upward, has to be weird to get used to. I had envisioned a cocking tube with the catch notch reversed but never just rotating the whole tube. Slick. That rail is over the top. Literally!
I never saw a range report and it's been a while, so how's it shoot?

I agree with 4C, I just started collecting parts for a K build and a lefty cocking tube is on order. I'd like to know how others like theirs that are set up for lefties.

Theres a lot more left handed HK shooters then I thought. I have to admit if I was building another i would opt for the lefty tube as well.
