Roll pin is for the A5 upper piston bushing.

 

Interesting. But aren't those 11" barrels? The one I remember seeing looked like a 10.4" barrel as there was the typical groove right in front of the gasblock then the muzzle device. Nor did it have a gas block regulator or whatever they're called. Newer 416D models dont have that roll pin too?

 

I couldn't say on the barrels. I also don't know for what else there could be a roll pin there.

I may be wrong - but no. If it is made in Germany it will be proofed there regardless of its final destination.

 

MR223A3 / 416A5 have 11" barrels because of the new adjustable gas block which is longer than the old one.
