C93 Charging difficulty

I have a C93 I bought from a member here that GB2k rebarreled and did some work on, and it has been fun to shoot, but it's really hard to pull the handle back to charge the rifle. My ptr is real easy to charge in comparison. The handle flips out 90 degrees just fine, it's just a bear to pull to the rear position. I've given the inside where the cocking tube rides a little lube, as well as a little for the bcg, but I don't think it helped much. I got a new to me 223 hk21 style handle from hkspecialist, and that gave me a little more leverage, but no real help there either. Different stocks, and trigger groups, but no change. It's not just at the beginning of the pull either, it's the whole way. The cocking tube seems clean, and with everything out of the rifle it's easy to move but still seems a little "sticky?". Was I not supposed to put lube in there? I also lightly greased the recoil spring.

I've searched the forum a bit, and found some similar problems discussed but not exact I don't think. Any ideas?

Nahhh... Clean the lube outta the cocking tube. The slot is open to the world and dirt and kalaka will find it's way in there faster than... Well, anything. Having lube or grease there just ensures that every piece of flying munge and crap stays there.

I have the same issue on mine, I am going to replace the charging handle, handle spring and recoil spring. Mine is an old serial number 1xx (SW receiver) so I have no idea if any of the springs have ever been changed. Also check the CT gap. This web sight might be of help:

Hk 91, G3 clones & CETME Bolt Gap & Cocking Tube Gap Inspection

I suspect the Head spacing is out of spec on mine and I plan to send to Ghilliebear for a new barrel and repress.

I changed all those parts and cleaned out the cocking tube and took most of the lube out as SM suggested and the issue has evidently been resolved. I bought a used hk recoil rod from hkparts and that helped the most, which seems odd to me, but I'm still new to the platform so who knows.
