Hey all! I hope this is the right section for this. I didn't see any others that would fit. I was browsing around some gun sites for black friday deals.
I hear a ton about love for century arms clones and PSA currently has the AP5-M for $900.
"CENTURY ARMS AP5-M 9MM 4.5" 30RD TACTICAL PISTOL, BLACK - HG6036N" is what it is listed as on the site.
I already ordered a zenith when they had their last sale so my pocket book is still recovering from that, but hopefully this can be helpful for someone else looking!

Most don’t notice that it’s got no threaded barrel, or tri lug, so that’s why it’s $200 cheaper because it doesn’t sell. They buy it, & come here asking what it takes to be able to add a suppressor. They don’t realize that it would cost hundreds more than having bought the proper AP5-P which already has the proper barrel, so they sell the gun to get what they should have bought in the first place. It’s a great deal if the state they live in doesn’t allow a suppressor. GARY

Valid points. Marketing 101.

Already having an SP5 and PDW, I knew what I was getting when I ordered a $900 AP5-M.

HK does make a 'real' pistol just like that, though with a VFG.

That's a decent price, I have never seen one above $1k.

I would recommend you take a close look at the three types of AP5s offered by Century. First is the AP5... This one looks like the standard MP5 SMG. This is the one I have and I love it! Second is the AP5P... This it the MP5K and has about an 1,5" longer barrel and a three lug suppressor mounting system. The Third is the AP5M... This one looks like the "P" but the barrel doesn't extend past the front sight bracket. Century Arms AP5 Series

I paid $1100 for my AP5 and didn't think that was too bad, judging from the prices I saw on Gun Broker. If you are new to the MP5 owners club. Youtube is a wealth of information as well as this site, if you can get past the bickering and egos from time to time. Whatever you decide, Go out and buy a case of 235 gr 9mm NATO ammo to break it in! Find some good MKE or HK steel mags. They usually run from 45 on MKE all the way up to delusional prices for HK. I never pay more than 75 for an HK mag... They're out there, you just have to look!

Before you go shoot, Take it apart! Learn how everything works and how to correctly reassemble! Clean it thoroughly, even though you haven't fired it! Make surety Bolt Carrier, bolt are wet! Even though you may have failures to eject, don't give up on it immediately! FTEs can be caused by many things... Out od spec extractor, ejector, bolt carrier velocity, weak ammo, etc. Learn about all of these issues and what to look for when you clean your weapon fir the first time after firing.

Pick up several rounds of brass for evaluation off the range. Check the ejection pattern of your brass while at the range. It should be consistent and throw the spent casings out pretty far! When you get it apart, look for rub marks through the paint on the rails your carrier travel on.

Main thing is education and enjoying the piece! If you can't troubleshoot any failures, this site has a wealth of accomplished Smiths that would be glad to help you!!!
