I have both and the apertures are different sizes and have different heights for bullet drop.

Cool, you will see that the MP5 aperture is a bit bigger for easier CQB.

The G3 also has a v-notch for CQB. I loved it until I shot my PCS MP5 for the first time with a real MP5 sight. I'll never go back.
