Never heard of them until now. Looking at the site, it's very nice that they have a custom serial number option (though it's a separate item to be added to the cart). No A5 option kinda sucks though. Will be following this though.

 

Looks like they're a hot item since they're sold out already. I'll be keeping an eye on them, I could use another lower!

 

I talked with the owner, Greg, and he said they will be getting the lowers back from anodizing around "first week in May". He is trying to build up the stock to always have them "in-stock" but demand far exceeds the supply at the moment.

I’m pretty sure that great price has an effect on the in stock status. I’m going to try and grab a few when they poop back up for sell.

 

I managed to get one in this batch of anodizing. Whew...my project proceeds.

Not tight like a matching billet upper/lower but not loose either. I'm not sure how to measure but there is some very small play.

 

I would imagine who's lower is in play, may make a difference. Colt accuwedge..

 

would anyone mind posting pic of finished serial numbers? I want to try one of their lowers and everything looks good except the serial number font looks a bit off in the pictures on their website. Just wondering what the finished out product looks like. Maybe its just their pics. I emailed them but have not heard back.

 

FYI. On the tan lowers, markings [selector] are not being color-filled by Gig [sigh]. Otherwise, things seem to be looking good. I'm learning, as I go.

There's no reason why they couldn't just do an M16 pocket, a lot of other companies like Geissele are just milling their lowers with M16 pockets.

 

Finally picked mine up, today. She's a beauty.

what’s everyones thoughts on the drunk Irish engraving @$200 bones? Seems high when lower was 400$.

 

It’s a fair price in my opinion. Remember there is cost involved with shipping to an FFL which is part of the $200.

 

I found it quite reasonable. Then again, I don't have the knowledge or equipment to do that stuff.
I've never had a friendlier or more helpful transaction.

I stand corrected on my previous statement. The FCG pocket is now FA/M16. The pics on the website of the SA/AR-15 FCG pocket are old photos.

In addition, they take mil spec parts kits except the HK buffer retainer assy which is included. From what I understand from discussions with LAV about it, this basically the way the 416 was designed anyway.

 

Apologies if this question is answered already but, are these forged or CNC machined lowers?
