Now that we have cleared up the new USP 9mm Tactical models are awesome...

I'm looking to setup a host for my 9mm can that's in jail currently.

My options include a new barrel for my P30L or selling it to fund a USP 9T. I've owned many USPs in the past, I really like them. That said, I didn't ever come to just love my HK45, in fact I just sold it because I never shot it. I do love my P30L, although I believe I can shoot my USP compacts better.

Anyone have experience suppressing either pistol?

I have a USP9 SD, and I bought a threaded HK factory barrel for my P30L.
Both work great with my Tirant 9.

In your situation, I'd go with the new USP9 Tactical for a suppressor host.
Keep your P30L if that's possible.

I wish I could keep the P30L and buy a USP Tactical, just not in the cards. I've owned a full size USP 9 before, loved it. Actually sold it to buy the P30L.

My daily carry is a USPc 9 or USPc 45, depending on what I'm doing that day. The P30L wins all day in ergo's, no argument there however I have no problems shooting a USP, fullsize or compact. The problem is when factoring in new sights and a barrel, the 2015 USP Tactical makes more sense.
