I also thought the G28Z didn't come with an adjustable gas block and also didn't have the cutout in the handguard for the AGB? It's really weird they don't have photos of the actual units or an accurate description. If it has an AGB and the lower is actually marked G28 then the provenance is definitely in question since that would mean it's definitely not a G28Z.

The newer G28Z’s do have an adjustable gas block and the cutout as well as the flash hider to direct mount the G28 B&T suppressor. They are marked G28Z though so the lowers are still a bit curious. I have one of the parts kits AU sold and it has the factory HK case with the serial number sticker that matches the upper and BCG. The G28Z user manual also has sections discussing the use of the AGB. There are videos of the HK booths at the various European arms expos that show this to be the case as well.

Sorry I'm a bit late to this topic. I was curious as to whether or not it came in a special case but it sounds like it does. Does anyone have a picture of a factory G28Z in the case?
Also, for 20K, I would expect the original German barrel which would be chrome lined. Now, as an owner of 12 registered machine guns, it is my understanding that the 1986 NFA Act banned the import of machine gun barrels. The description of the barrel sounds like the one for the HK417 except there is no mention of chrome lining or twist rate even on HK site.
Does anyone know complete description of the barrel?

pictures being stolen is a big claim. Anyone have the links to the gunbroker ad? As far as I can see the AU images are not the same as the clone on GB.

Dual use.....that changed a few things regarding import/barrels/restrictions too. Didn't change on the German side....just US side. Still learning.

They’re not open on the weekends. The customer service team at AU has been super responsive and helpful when I’ve reached out. I’ve emailed them ever couple of weeks about the G28 lowers and barrels since April and the customer service rep I’ve had is super nice and always gets back to me promptly with updates.

Is there someone specific that replies to you or is it one person that handles all the tech questions?
I’m pretty sure it’s the same person each time. My G28 kit was missing a part when I received it and they said they’d let a manager know and then the part was sent out shortly after. So based on that I’d assume it’s a customer service rep solely there to field questions or order issues.

I am the primary contact for AU on HKPro.

Although we typically do not work weekends, I was asked to come in specifically to address your inquiries with photos and this response.

The HK G28Z rifles are not butchered as falsely speculated.

Attached are photos of the rifles customers will receive. The images on our product page are of a G28 sample from our inventory. Since the G28Z rifles are nearly identical except for markings, we have not yet taken new photos but plan to update the product page this week with fresh images. However, the rifles currently available for purchase represent the majority of our stock. There are only a few remaining. We have sourced a few additional units over the weekend, including at least one with a scope, the global supply of these rifles is limited and sourcing more is not likely.

Please note that the G28Z rifles we have in stock do not include scopes. The G28Z can be ordered with or without a scope and accessory kit, and the units we sourced were without scopes. We are not currently offering scopes separately, though we are attempting to source them from Schmidt.

Regards,
Ronny G

On the B&T G28 lowers, is there going to be a way for the guys who purchased parts kits to pre order or reserve one? I watch the newsletters but I’d hate to miss out on the lowers if there’s a limited amount and I don’t see them go up right away

B&T is finished with the G28 clone lowers and we are expecting them to arrive to us this week, I believe they produced approximately 30 of them for us. We will do our best to notify anyone who has been in contact with us for one of them. I can not imagine many people will try to purchase them if they do not have a parts kit whether purchased from us or elsewhere.
