So it seems an LMT MARS L takeoff (2stage) is a no-go. Not sure why, but it wouldn’t even really charge without a serious yank. May try another one, would make my life way easier if the LMT worked, and looking at it, it appears it should.
Following this. Looking at getting a MARS-L lower for my extra MR upper. Everything I’ve read says the lower works but no mention of triggers.

I stand corrected, apparently, they don't work. Good thing I didn't just buy one lol.
Seems this guy got a POF carrier to work: 416A4.3? Ambidextrous lower project...

I have a mr556 carrier without FPS I’d live to trade for one that does.

but....getting back on topic, it sounds like my CMC flat trigger is able to engage the FPS on my stock configured MR556 upper. Have not shot it yet to confirm if it actually works.

What triggers are the most comparable to the Geissele MR triggers? Or better? Asking because I don't think they will fill the backorders on their site anytime soon. I have the ALG but looking for something a bit higher tier. I assume the KAC, but those seem to be unavailable also.

I'm happy to add Bull Moose Tactical to the list! I ordered their BMT Enhanced Fire Control Group on a whim to do some testing because I've been trying to find a flat faced trigger that doesn't break the bank. Out of the box it's just a really nice milspec single stage with drastically improved reset and with some work it's capable of 3.5lb with no overtravel but I do not advise ANY work or modification be done on any trigger, ever!!! (All work was done by a professional driver on a closed course.)

I'd be very curious to try this trigger against a an ALG but I didn't have one handy at the time. For me the flat trigger is a major advantage over the ALG.

I only have a few hundred rounds through it (mostly CCI 41 primers) but have had ZERO issues. No light strikes, no FPS issues. Add it to the list!

Is there a trick to getting the trigger out of the lower receiver without having to remove the selector axle? I really don't want to drive out the pins on the selector levers if I can help it. If I recall correctly, on standard AR's, you can wiggle the trigger out of the lower receiver FCG pocket without having to remove the safety selector.

Turn the lower receiver upside-down, Unscrew the grip screw, remove the grip…when you do this, you will see that the selector detent spring and detent are held in place by the grip. Now turn it back right side up and the spring/detent will fall out the bottom. The selector should rotate freely for the installation of the trigger. Reverse steps and reinstall grip (check orientation of selector).
Sometimes you can loosen the grip without fully removing and that takes enough pressure off the selector detent spring and detent to allow you to rotate the selector. If not, the above steps are pretty easy to do.

Any idea if the LWRC trigger works?
Is this what you mean???

Yeah, it should work as it's just a milspec nickel teflon trigger just like the ACT ALG, BCM PNT, SOLGW Fighting trigger, Centurion Arms Advanced milspec, Sionics Enhanced milspec...etc, etc.
The only difference is the buttholes at LWRC are charging almost double... ;)
Note the "shiny" trigger:
