That sucks if thats the case I'll hold out till I can get a geissele. Thanks for the heads up!
Yea it does suck.

The only reason i'm running the KAC two stage is because I already had it from another project, and because I had it nitrided so i'm hoping that it lasts longer then the normally do.

If it turns out that they are really that crappy and even nitriding can't make them hold up much longer then they already do, I'm never getting another KAC trigger ever again. Screw that noise.

That's awfully loaded and subjective especially without an intended purpose? Does "best" mean:

Lightest pull?
Cleanest break?
Most reliable?
Longest lasting?
Best value?
You forgot one....

"Which one will allow me to bumpfire such a heavy rifle?"

I just ran near 6000 through with the ALG ACT. It's not a match but hands down the best combat trigger. Still feels like new, if not, a tad, tad lighter. But maybe I'm just used to it.

I just through on the Geissle 416 SSA with a Surefire MB and what a combo. My RDS hardly moves off target.

Considering they're only $65, the ACT is one of the better things going at this time. I can't say enough good things about mine. My only regret is not buying another to have on hand.

KAC 2 stage and Geissele SSA

Having both KAC 2 stage and Geissele SSA I like both but the Geissele is much better-lighter and crisper.

Wilson TTU DOES NOT WORK with the MR556A1. Failure to fire on every round due to weak, unchangable hammer spring resulting in light primer strikes.

Now now before you flat out say it does not work I'd at least give Wilson Combat a chance to fix the issue with you. My TTU 3G works fine. I am curious as to why yours isn't working so well.

Any confirmation of the Timney trigger being compatible?
I have the Timney skeletonized trigger single stage 3 or 4 pounds (don't remember which one I ordered) I have never had any problems regarding the firing pin safety. The only problem I had was soft primer strikes with some xm193. I contacted Timney and they said that they could fix it. I mailed him the trigger on a Monday and he sent me a brand new trigger by Friday with a stronger spring. Haven't had a light primer strike since then. I love the customer service with them.

Sweet! Thanks for the confirmation. I'll have time the upcoming weekend to try out the trigger. If I have any issues, I'll drop Timney a call.

Updated with Timney then.

According to Wilson themselves,

"About the only thing we can do is replace the spring with a heavier one which will make your trigger pull slightly heavier. that system on your rifle is something different that hk does. I bet the hammer is slightly wider as well "

So, short of modifying the TTU Hammer, I would say that its compatibility is questionable and should not be on this list as confirmed to work.

TTU remarks reflected in first post.

I wonder if the hammer geometries are different between their TTU and 3G TTU. The 3G I have works without a single hitch.
I did ask Wilson this exact question. They said the hammers are exactly the same.
