There are HK45/45c -frame- Made In USA, the others are German.
HK-USA/GA is the official importer.

 

USP series is entirely from Germany as is the p30 series and p2000 series. VP series is also from Germany. I have read on this sight that HK may make more pistols in the USA, but the only one I know of is the HK 45.

 

HK45s with the serial number prefix “HKU” are made in the US and prefix “126” are made in Germany.

My USA made HK45 has a barrel with the markings on the inside, (had to pull it off to see, thought it was aftermarket- maybe is) but it has a 126 prefix? Frame is HKU as said above.

I bought it used after selling mine and found it for $500 so...the guy did some amazing trigger work and put HD sights on it.

The “US made” HK45’s are mostly made in Germany, including all the action parts, slide, slide parts and barrel. The frame and sights are made in USA, and interestingly, the US frames have a much more effective texture than the German made ones.

I had a German HK45 and a US HK45, at the same point in time. Sold the US one, even though it was newer. I'll have another one, at some point. It's kind of cool to have a "Made in USA HK".

 

HK USA molds the HK 45 frame in Columbus , GA . , the rest of the parts come from Germaby for final assembly in GA .

 

Thanks guys, Comp-tac reached out and said their holsters would accept the QLS system. If not I have an old competition belt with drop leg from Double Alpha that will work. One thing for sure, there are 10 million good holster makers which is good for us.

Now we have the CC9 that is also made in USA. Is it also the same case as the HK45s?

What you quoted is still accurate; nothing has changed with HK45 production.

In fact, US-made HK45 slides and barrels also have hidden German serial numbers.

 

My understanding is the CC9 barrel starts life as a forged and rifled blank and comes over to the US for final machining to fit the CC9.
