I have not been on here in a long time so I apologize if you all already know this but I confirmed today at AUSA that the MR556A4 will be announced next month as one of the three new HKs.
damn.. going to have to find select-fire safety axles😡They show the "MR A4" with the "new"(ish) broad selector that the G95K has. Offers a better purchase for the thumb and sits a bit lower.
Nice touch.

Noice. Glad I held through the $3k MR762A1 deals a little bit ago - but maybe MSRP on this thing will be $5k :/
In the brochure I linked in my previous post, as well as on the individual product pages. Are the SKUs listed anywhere?
I apologize for stirring the pot about chrome lining.damn.. going to have to find select-fire safety axles😡
Smart configs. Glad they actually offered the A4 in an 11” pistol variant instead of making it SBR only like it was rumored around here.Initial models:

MSRP for the 762 is 4799 and they have CA compliant models listed as well.
According to the product pages on HK-USA, the 16.5" MR556A4 weighs less than the MR556A1, so I think it's using a similar profile barrel to the most recent MR556A1s.Wait, so does even the 11" have a heavy profile barrel? If so, I'm not sure how I feel about it. Prefer as light a setup as reasonably possible, especially when I'll be adding a light, optic, and suppressor.
Never mind all the actual rifles used in actual service across the planet that don't have one...A service grade rifle has a chrome lined bore. Simple as that. Anything else...is compromise.

Also, "service grade" is often used as a pejorative, at least in my experience.
Are you seriously going to argue that no military or law enforcement agency in the world uses any rifles that do not have a chrome lined barrel? What SERVICE rifle has a respectable military adopted in the last 20 years without a chrome bore?
