So I've been having this problem since day one (over a year ago) and I still cannot get the dang thing to work.

At first brass kept failing to eject all the way, leading to the bolt smashing into the spent brass. https://imgur.com/a/DfqXzTp

I tried several brands of ammo at 115gr, 124gr, and 147gr, all with the same problem. People kept suggesting that it was a worn extractor spring and I finally gave in and changed it out, even though it seemed fine to me.

This seemed to create a new problem. It looks like it's not taking the spent brass and slamming it back into the chamber. https://imgur.com/a/ITmS7eF

I clean my gun after ever range trip. I know if some parts get dirty it may lead to issues, so I take special care in cleaning every part and oil them.

Here are some pictures of the trigger pack and bolt if it helps. There is also a gap between the lower and magwell. Is this normal? https://imgur.com/a/uecwVfl

Edit: Also, it cycles just fine if I manually cycle it.

Does you ejector move free and easy? Does it stick or bind? Is it too tight in the slot or easy to move? In the ejectors travel does it travel true with little to no side to side play or can it wobble around side to side easily?
In the pics it looks like your trigger group frame is bent where the ejector pivot lives. If the pivot pin location is mis-located because of the damage then the ejector is mis-located inside the bolt. Or the ejector could be bound up and not moving freely.

I have a POF 5PK that has/had the same problem. I did they exact same steps you did to no avail, the problem is actually the ejector lever. Get a real HK made one and it should fix it most of the time, if not completely. I haven't had it happen in a long while, but it did happen a couple of times after swapping out the lever. When I hold the POF and the HK levers next to each other they appear identical, but I think the POF one is just different enough that the timing with the bolt isn't exactly right.

Guys,

I have a POF MP5 that I have had for about 4 years. It ran fine when I first got it but now it occasionally has the failure to eject and issues. If I use a HK mag it works O.K. with issues every so often.
If I use the POF mag the situation is hopeless.
