You talking about the Fed red lipstick? The polymer's supposed to keep your barrel cleaner. It functions like a copper jacket would, but better. Again, supposedly.
Polymer Coated Lead bullets
Would they be ok to use in a VP9? They are brass case just the bullet is coated in polymer.
