@ghilliebear2000 Thanks for all your effort in trying to solve the magazine fit issue. I have a SP5 and don't see any bleedthrough welds in my magwell. I posted photos of my magwell for your reference. Please let me know what you think the issue might be? Thanks!!!

So I took a piece of sandpaper and a file and just took a little bit of material off of the front loosen the mag up tremendously I think that will do it it is a solid piece so don't worry about taking too much off it is not hollow for the price of the magazine I can do with a little bit of fitting hope this helps I will try to post a video on a way to do it guys I don't make the mag but I am happy that we have the opportunity to get some mags Because the real HK mags are so expensive in these are great range mags and great for guys who are just getting into HK with the way politics are going I am glad that we are able to purchase these right now.

My 6 - 30's will be here tomorrow...

So are they tight side to side or front to back? Maybe we could put some calipers on a real HK metal mag and mill the plastic ones to match?

The good thing is with all the variants of clones that are out there this is easy adjustment to fit Magazine to the gun all you have to do is remove a little material up the front pad and you can make it as tight or loose as you want it's very hard to try to find one mg that will fit every gun perfectly and it's better to be tied than loose in my book very simple modifications. You can either send it down a little later time or mill down the front pad very easy by hand modification

I will try to get one posted tomorrow sir not at my shop right now.. It was a very easy process just the front pad of the magazine. The good thing is now we can adjust it to the receiver instead of not being able to fix the sloppy mags these to be made to fit the gun properly there's just so many variants clones of the weapon this makes it a cheap way to be awesome..

I would really like to see that, too, Ghilliebear. I worked on mine some more last night, and got it to work better, but it still has some more to go. I never was sure exactly where it was binding, seemed like it was on all sides by the scuffing. I was planning on putting a caliper on them to compare, but didn't get that far, will do that with a fresh one today.

Just received mine. Like the others have reported, they're tight; but not overly difficult to seat in my SP5. Insert them in the well and give them a slight tap on the floor plate and they lock in. I do have to wiggle them back and forth a bit to get them out, but no big deal. I'm not going to sand them down, as they're just range mags. I'm happy with them; for the price I think they're going to be a winner.

Follow up - received my 4x30s today. MP5 Maglula doesn't work, way to tight, have to hammer it off. Mags fit perfect in my Coharie. :D Mags very tight in my NFA MP5 I bought 10+ years ago. They may loosen up, but are very tight, lock in good, take effort to remove.

Guys I would also suggest when you're inserting the mag follow Hk Guidelines of Locking the bolt back before trying to insert a mag.So far we have tested the mags in HK, Pof,PCS,SW, Bobcat, MKE, and one vector, tightness of the mag vary between clones the video above I posted did help modifying the mag to fit different clones hope it helps you guys for the price of these magazines it is well worth a little bit of modification when you're looking at POF mags for HK mags availability on the market and price wise.

Definitely need fitting to a specific gun as you can see here, 2 different DT guns show vastly different results with the same set of 3 mags

Maybe I'm missing something here, but if they fit one gun but not the other, wouldn't that speak more to the lack of consistency by the manufacturer of the weapon than the magazine? Could you make another video with multiple HK weapons and show the same inconsistencies?

Well I've got 2 on the way for my sp5k BG date code. I did some reload drills with the Korean metal mags today. They were great. Guess we will see how these compare.

Hope this help guys

Hey, Ghilliebear,
Followed your suggestion on removing material from the projections on the front of the mag, and it made a big difference. Starting with a new mag, I first worked on the front edge of the feedlips since that was preventing the initial insertion, and that worked, then I moved down to the large rectangular projection just above where the taper begins, and that allowed complete insertion. Now, I'm working on reducing the amount of force required to completely insert and remove the mag. This is on my MP5, which is an HK kit on a SW5 receiver, and has more forgiving magwell dimensions than my HK spec variants. I think the best test for fit might be with a LULA, which still requires a lot of effort, but I'm closing in on it. THANKS!

I got my 30 round Unity mags today. They are tight in my SP5 but after putting some Extreme Weapons Lubricant on the part of the mag that inserts and leaving it in my SP5 for a few hours, the mags now click in fine. If these mags fire without problems then this price will be a good deal.

I did not realize that these mags are a little longer than my HK mags. I can't see it causing any real inconvenience except if anyone is storing them in a tight bag or case with foam cutout, but just something to be aware of.

One other minor thing I noticed is that the first round is on the right for my Unity mags, whereas the first round is on the left for my HK mags. It doesn't really matter if it's on the left or the right, but for anyone who "press checks" their MP5 as shown at 2:52 of this link, I suppose it could get confusing to keep track of whether the first round was on the left or the right.

Absolutely it speaks to mag well consistency.....just showing they need to be specifically fit. Many MP5 enthusiasts have more than one MP5 style firearm from various manufacturers and the mags may not fit easily between different hosts. They were universally tight in HK mag wells and I didn't spend time worrying about fit to HK as I wanted to see fit across different "clone" guns. I tested the 3 as seen in the video on 3 other manufacturers hosts as well and results varied widely (could not insert in 2 of the other 3 at all even after sanding for DT guns). The old MKE plastic mags were terrible for fit compared to these AC Unity mags and I was tinkering out of my own curiosity. Still interested in if they function much more than the fit since fit can be altered to a degree, but as for me I'd still always choose to have the highest quality mags that fit any and all guns they might be used. If these function 100% like a quality mag should, then hat tip to RTG and AC Unity as they would be nice and cheap range blasters and great full auto host mags! For where it's important, I still would not use anything but the mags I have grown to trust entirely!
