What's the deal with the gold piston from Nefarious arms?

The gold piston from Nefarious Arms isn't a gimmick but it's also not a magic bullet....
Nefarious Arms developed this gold piston to address short stroking issues, in other words if your bolt won't lock back it's possible that this piston will add enough carrier velocity to correct the condition.
HOW IT WORKS:
The length and diameter of the skinny end of the piston has been increased, increasing the the volume it displaces inside the gas block, this causes a slight increase in pressure inside the gas block which gives the bolt carrier just a little more velocity, about 5% according to Marvin at Nefarious.
There are many reasons why your gun may short stroke and this piston WILL NOT correct them all,
however, if you have a soft recoil impulse and no other way of increasing carrier velocity (smaller gas block vent, adjustable gas block, larger gas port in barrel) the gold piston may resolve your short stroking issue.
