Do wish it had a paddle instead of a button though.
They may yet release a paddle version. I think they are going for mass appeal (i.e., mass sales) beyond the fickle HK crowd - and button release is part of that appeal.

I see there is already complaining. Seriously, some people are never satisfied.
Simply by the looks of it, how is this significantly different than the SFP9cc?

"Hope we get a SFP9cc/VP9cc" the above is what the US market will get.
I mean it is a micro 9, what more would you need in a mouse gun!?
Looks like a longer grip, no paddle release, Optic mount doesn’t look as low pro, rail looks much shorter and basically useless compared to the sfp9cc, and is it even able to swap grips? If it’s 10 rounds with a flush grip in what looks like a longer grip then it’s probably single stack instead of 1.5 stack. It just looks like a downgrade from the sfp9cc. I could be and probably am wrong but the sfp9cc just looks so much better than this.

I hate to be a fickle HK Fanboy, but the SFP9cc actually offered things to make it stand out from the already crowded market. This does not do that at first glance. Of course I reserve the right to change my opinion once we get the full specs. :)

I hope it's successful, but I think I will hang on to my VP9sk for a little while. I am excited for the new products, I'm just feeling a little bit of reservation.

(Of course I ended up loving the CC9 when I actually got to check it out, dammit HK )

Yeah, despite my previous post being somewhat tepid, the ergonomics look great and I'm sure it will be perform well.

Sticker on mag says 10+1, let's hope that extension on the other mag is not just a pinky extension but also a capacity extension...
I hate to assume anything, but one would assume that the sticker is there to differentiate. If they were all 10+1, why have a sticker?

I'm hoping this isn't the big announcement by HK USA......color me unimpressed. Single stack EDC 9mm MOS......not like there isn't 30 other brands to choose from with equal or better features.
I don't understand all the criticism . This is just the 1st of 3 new products HK USA is going to roll out in the next few months. Let's give'em a break for a change...... 😉

I don't mind being in the minority but I think this gun looks terrible compared to the SFP9CC. What is up with the muzzle end? That slide/rail fit looks...not good. Is that trigger safety a MIM part? No charging ears, the optic plate...why is it so shallow?

I'm disappointed that that is going to be the inaugural HK USA pistol offering. I dont think it's going to go over well. The VP9 is arguably the most successful HK pistol in terms of sales and general feedback from the shooting "public". I don't really see much if any of the VP9 in this pistol...

Whoever said this looks like a Taurus...you are not wrong.

I usually refrain from commenting in posts like this but, I gotta say that I look forward to this coming to a gun shop near me and to the opportunity to check it out in person. It may or may not interest me enough to purchase but, it’s great to see new HK designs available to us in the U.S! I can’t wait to see what else is coming.

Thanks HK CS1 for flying the HK flag and keeping us informed. Please let them know in Oberndorf that we are happy they don’t hate us anymore…
