I haven’t seen a thread specifically addressing the VP9 A1. Does anyone have additional info?

With the VP9 and VP9SK sharing magazines I see no reason why a VP9K shouldn't share them as well.
Not exactly "falling off", but I'm pretty sure there will be applicable magazine extensions available sooner or later.
If somebody chooses a VP9K over a VP9, he's looking for a short grip to enhance concealability and not for "support extensions". If so, just use a VP9.

I don't know what the technical term is. It's a textured area you can put your finger when it's not on the trigger.

Yeah I have been paying attention and I think the course for the new gun will be:
1. Excitement over it followed by pics fueling that excitement followed by
2 Pics closer to release that are somewhat different than early pics…followed by
3. A loud but apparently un-influential group of forum members decrying how “HK blew it”….followed by
4. An inability to find the thing because it is selling so well…followed by
5. Theories that that is HK’s master plan, to create demand and not meet it (still sorting that one out lol).
We will see!

Welp, I'm selling my P320 and multiple frames for a VP9A1 Kompact. I really hope it's a chassis gun but I'm guessing it's not. I've really been wanting a VP9 again and this just seems like a sign lol.

So far, the VP9 series is a US-only product (maybe plus US "halo"), the rest of the world has the SFP9.
The new product is named VP9A1, so there is that...

Looking forward to learning more about the VP9A1. I am also still waiting on my LGS to get a CC9 in stock for me to play with.
I agree with the above that it would be nice if they could update their hammer fired pistols. All I want is a HK45C with the frame of a P30, rear slide decocker (v3 style), and a thumb safety that can ran like a 1911’s. I would never shoot my 1911s again.

I totally agree, but wishful thinking on our parts. Strikers are whats in and I don’t think that’s gonna change. It seems like HK isn't ready to make them OR yet. I can’t believe that Sig and Beretta have their legacy hammer guns updated though.

While I don't think there is a chance for the USP or HK45 as commercial/military/LE are all moving towards striker fired, it would be nice to get a OR version of the P30, as that is the only handgun besides the SFP9 that HK advertises in the "Military and Law Enforcement" section of their website so it is still "flagship" in that sense.
