Went to the gun show last week looking for a light. Tried on the TLR-1 but it was too long the guy at the booth said. I don't want the TLR-3 because Im looking for something between 200-300 lumens. Any help?

Inforce APLc universal should be out in mid-August, and is also 200 lumens. Almost all of the reviews I've read comparing the current APLc to the XC1 favor the APLc. Not sure if it will fit the VP9sk, but it would be worth the wait to me to find out.

There is no Surefire branded solution for the P30sk nor the VP9sk. I can only say what has worked for me. I have a Viridian C5L and it fits fine on my P30sk. I was able to get an OWB holster from Black Point Tactical for my gun and light combo. Not a special order they already have the mold for it.

So here's the deal, not every pistol needs a light/laser... this is clearly concealed carry weapon so it's just not needed. Just carry a handheld light in hand whenever you are in near total darkness or better, this will not only be faster to ID threats but is legal to carry in hand on any street in America. If you need a pistol light, buy a different gun... because there are no good options on the market for this size gun.

The APLc does not fit the SK, it overhangs the rail by 3/8" IIRC, so the locking screw will not even line up with any of the rail slots. The upcoming version, universal version I believe, will be the same dimensions except the locking screw for the slot will be moved from the front end to the center. If this is the case, it will still overhang the front of the SK. Also, the XC1 is the same length as the APLc. Both fit the G19 perfectly though. I tried my APL on the VP9, VP40, P30, walther PPQ and Q5 and they all fit the light perfectly too, just not the SK's.

I think WellWellWell and JohnnyDollar have hit the nail on the head with a 16lb. sledge hammer on this one. VP9SK is clearly designed for concealed carry, and as such does not need a WML. I'll be sticking to a hand-held when carrying the SK.

Yes, the VP9SK is obviously designed for EDC, which—along with technical-cost limitations—explains the lack of WML options. But if the OP wants to use their SK as a home defense weapon, that's their prerogative. My SK used to be my EDC, but I'm a thin guy and it was a bit too bulky. I've since rotated it into a home defense role and have the TLR-3 on it. The SK fits in the small CB2 nightstand I have next to the bed much better than my VP9 Tactical, even with the WML. Who knows what the OP's situation is, but if they want to mount a darn light on their VP9SK, more power to them.

I don’t run a light on my VP9SK, but it will take my X300u surefire without issue. Yes he light extends a little beyond the muzzle, and is probably more suited to OWB carry or just as a nightstand piece if you want.

I do want to respond to an early post about holster options...many are available from BlackPoint Tactical. They have just about any light possible in combo with the VP9SK if you so desire. Great company and product!

I’m sure the new TLR7 will fit but be pricey.

The TLR3/4 will work but stick out a touch.

I just got a TLR4 for my P30 and VP9 and I’m one of those OCD types that likes it not to stick out much past the muzzle.

Olight is cheap. Buy Inforce or Streamlight for a few bucks more if you can’t afford Surefire.
