I think WellWellWell and JohnnyDollar have hit the nail on the head with a 16lb. sledge hammer on this one. VP9SK is clearly designed for concealed carry, and as such does not need a WML. I'll be sticking to a hand-held when carrying the SK.
Yes, the VP9SK is obviously designed for EDC, which—along with technical-cost limitations—explains the lack of WML options. But if the OP wants to use their SK as a home defense weapon, that's their prerogative. My SK used to be my EDC, but I'm a thin guy and it was a bit too bulky. I've since rotated it into a home defense role and have the TLR-3 on it. The SK fits in the small CB2 nightstand I have next to the bed much better than my VP9 Tactical, even with the WML. Who knows what the OP's situation is, but if they want to mount a darn light on their VP9SK, more power to them.

Absolutely! To each his own! I've got a TLR-3 that I would be happy to stick on the SK if I needed it to serve night-stand duty. In my situation, that role is usually filled by my VP9 with X300-UA, so my response probably sounded a little more closed-minded than intended. For me, the SK would primarily be a carry gun.

I don’t run a light on my VP9SK, but it will take my X300u surefire without issue. Yes he light extends a little beyond the muzzle, and is probably more suited to OWB carry or just as a nightstand piece if you want.

I do want to respond to an early post about holster options...many are available from BlackPoint Tactical. They have just about any light possible in combo with the VP9SK if you so desire. Great company and product!

I’m sure the new TLR7 will fit but be pricey.

The TLR3/4 will work but stick out a touch.

I just got a TLR4 for my P30 and VP9 and I’m one of those OCD types that likes it not to stick out much past the muzzle.

Olight is cheap. Buy Inforce or Streamlight for a few bucks more if you can’t afford Surefire.

Awesome setup, Chase. What case are you using there and what mags are those?
Thank you. I just now saw this.

The magazines are standard VP9SK 10 round magazines with these +2 floorplates:

The background is just a giant piece of foam I acquired at work that I use for all of my gun-related photography. However, this is the case where it and all of the goodies live:

This gun was made for concealed carry. There is no reason to have a light on a gun this size. There are no holster for it either with a light. Carry it concealed. If you need a gun with a light, get a compact gun. Same with a gun for home defense.

This man speaks truth
(Sorry for assuming your gender :14000000:)

I went round and round trying to select a light for mine just now. The short answer, not very many options. For example, the Surefire XC1 does not fit and the Olight PL-Mini Valkyrie does not fit, two I had high hopes for.

The new Streamlight TLR-7 should fit, as it fits the P30SK, as was posted by somebody else in this section recently. So that's what I'm going with, the TLR-7.

BUT if anybody can figure out a compact reputable-manufacturer of weapon mounted light that is at least somewhat bright (IDK, 200+ lumens?), that fits the VP9SK, AND has controls similar to the TLR-1 (as in, they extend back from the light and to the sides of the front of the trigger guard for easy reach...and are activated by pushing DOWN and not in)...man I'd love to hear about it

So what you're saying is I have to go back to my Glock 19 for a compact conceal carry gun that will work with a good light?

Really though, I cannot comprehend the logic behind saying a smaller gun has no reason for a light, but a larger gun does. I'd like a light mounted to whatever gun I have, and the smaller guns are easier to carry/conceal. I am not always able to conceal a VP9 with TLR-1

TLR7 fits great, and wasn't all that expensive, under 110...not sure why need a light on a subcompact self defense gun, but whatever works for y'all.
