I'm new to HK, so pardon my ignorance, but I've read a lot about this type of trigger, but can't seem to find a definitive description of how it differs from the stock LEM trigger. I have a new USP V7 coming soon and I'm wanting to learn as much about it as I can. Thanks

The Match LEM Hybrid Trigger was the standard trigger on Combat Competition USP models in 9x19 and .40S&W. This setup blends the Match and LEM trigger components. Although there’s no official kit, parts can be assembled to replicate it. Refer to the Reference Library for a list of parts needed for the conversion.

LEM offers consistency from one trigger press to the next, akin to a striker-fired pistol, yet it’s in a double-action, hammer-fired pistol.

The Match Hybrid trigger blends the characteristics of the Light LEM trigger with the Match Trigger. The outcome is a lighter and shorter LEM DA pretravel to the initial wall as the hammer is cocked, a crisp match trigger-style break, a shorter reset, and an adjustable over-travel stop on the trigger itself.

If you would Like to send your USP to a certified HK armorer to do the work for you HK highly recommends Teufelshund Tactical Teufelshund Tactical
James is a member of our forum and has worked on a couple of my HK's and he did a wonderful job.

Here is a link to a thread regarding James work on a fellow members USP LEM:

I hope this is helpful,

Since writing that review on the USP 9 Tactical, I had James do a match/LEM hybrid on a USP 45 Tactical for me. It has quickly become my favorite HK trigger. You can't go wrong with that set up, or with work done by Teufelshund Tactical.

Since no one answered this directly, the difference is basically a few match grade springs. LEM conversion kits come with a new hammer assembly, sear, catch, trigger reset springs(TRS) and hammer springs. The Match kit comes with a flat spring, TRS, hammer spring, adjustable trigger, match hammer. When you combine the kits, you'll use the LEM sear/catch/hammer assembly (2 piece hammer plus a cocking spring) as well as the match flat spring, match TRS, match hammer spring. This will give you the lighter pull with the DAO LEM operation. If you start with a stock LEM V7 gun, youll just be swapping the flat spring, hammer spring and TRS. If you start with a stock match gun, you'll be swapping in the LEM hammer assembly/axle/sear.

That's my understanding of it from messing with my own stuff. I'm not a professional gunsmith though, so perhaps someone else will correct me if I'm mistaken.
