The Complete Zenith ZF-5 Essentials package comes complete and with Warranty. The Zenith ZF-5 Receiver comes as described and with no Warranty.
For 1/2 the price and no warranty, is it worth the price to go Essential and a full gun with Warranty versus completing the receiver yourself?
Has anyone had any difficulty completing a Receiver build?
I would imagine it would be easier than building a parts kit with a flat since most of work is already done?

Thanks for the link.
That contained good info.
I seen the "Blems" offered and decided to pass on them.
The one "Receiver option I was looking at other than Complete was this one.
ZF-5 Receiver with Barrel cocking tube, cocking bearer and handle (Black)
$750.00
These are non-blemished receivers, but some hand fitting might still be needed for completion. (Black)

Thanks.
So, based on your past experience.
Would you suggest getting the Completed Essential ZF-5 for $1499 with a warranty or would you go with a different clone like AP5?
I bought a new SP5 about a month ago and was looking for a 2nd for my wife. Have seen new SP5's for as low as $2598, but like the idea of the Zenith "push-pin" due to it's authentic look.

Any double push pin MP5 clone has a block to not allow a FA bolt carrier to go in. Thats part of the requirements so you can have that dual push pin coolness.

I’ve always been a fan of PTR guns this for some reason they don’t get much love around here. Buy yourself a PTR MP5 “classic” clone and get a C&P lower then call it a day, they are sear ready and no guessing if things will work right. The dual push pin don’t add inches to your manhood and does nothing for reliability, it’s all about that mental bragging right of “it’s a dual push pin” that really doesn’t impress anyone.

When you mentioned, you got the receiver.
Did you mean, the Receiver with barrel and cocking tube and completed it with needed parts
or a "blem" bare bones receiver and more or less build it?
I presume, you mean the Receiver with barrel and cocking tube?
Once all was assembled, did it run good from the start or was there tweaking to be done?

I bought the ZF5 complete receiver earlier this month. I compared the receiver to my SP5, and I have to say, the quality of the ZF5 is outstanding. The welds and finish are equal to the SP5. The only two fitment issues I had was with the magwell and lower receiver. The mags rocked front to rear more than I liked. A little tappy tap with a rubber mallet and the issue was remedied. The lower receiver fit very tight. However, I don't mind because I'm using the shelf and not a front pin, so, the tight fit has absolutely no movement once the rear cap is in place. I decided to do a little sanding and give a new look with flat khaki. There is no warranty, so, I'm not worried about making changes or mods. I still have to break it in, but I don't foresee any issues. I chose to purchase the receiver due to all the spare parts I've accumulated over the years. No regrets so far. Happy building, y'all.
