Hey all, I just picked up my HK SP5 and noticed that I'm able to pull the magazine out of the gun without having to release it using the mag release. Is this normal behavior? The magazine is unloaded and I've yet to take it out to shoot it since I just got it. It does take slight "force" like it does not just slide out by nudging it out but it is relatively easy to pull it out. Something that I so far wouldn't fully trust if the gun were to be used for more than just stand and shoot.

Very informative video, but I may have missed something from it. It didn't quite answer the "why" for me for me being able to pull the magazine out without touching the mag release. This is with no rounds in the magazine and I had tried (and now retried) putting the magazine in with the bolt back because I though it could be affecting it.This might help you:
