If only anyone made a 40mm conversion barrel to make this into a registered DD, I could hold my nose and buy Turkish just this once 🥲

I was at AU today, handled one of the launchers and got the full lowdown from the owner who asked me to post it for you all. These launchers are Turkish made by kalekalip as you guys figured out and NOT H&K marked.

AU was offered these launchers and shown photos by a source they purchase from (not kalekalip direct). There was some miscommunication between AU and the source as to what these actually were. AU did see the postings on here and immediately inquired with their source who clarified the manufacturer and markings, so the listing was taken down until AU physically received them to inspect before re-listing them. You can tell by the original pics that were posted they weren't edited in typical AU fashion and look like they were taken on a rug or something

As for the launchers themselves, they're real nice. Similar to the H&K model with some improvements, and the only time these have been made as 37mm, also sounds like they won't be doing it again either, as other US dealers who saw these postings reached out to them and stirred up a hornets nest trying to get some for themselves. Made by a Turkish military arms manufacturer who makes many "knock offs" of H&K products in use by their military.

Thank you for the information😉

I’ve bought from AU successfully in the past so I have no beef with them, but that’s pretty suspect. If AU was offered a product that was purported to be genuine HK before they actually had the item in hand (yet they jumped the gun and advertised them anyway), then they discovered they were being lied to and the item was a fake, why wouldn’t they cancel the deal and tell the seller to go pound sand? Instead they relisted them at a slightly lower price?

To put it bluntly, this situation with Arms Unlimited is poorly managed and their story is highly questionable. The idea that an experienced importer like them could be easily duped by Turkish suppliers over some launchers seems far-fetched. Additionally, their attempt to market these Turkish launchers as high-quality products while pricing them at almost three times the cost of what is almost certainly a superior Brügger & Thomet launcher is not convincing. The fact that they even mention HK in their listing raises further doubts for me. Moreover, the claim that the Turkish launchers have a “more shock absorbent stock” and other supposed advantages is frankly absurd. It’s reminiscent of how the Turks produce their semi-automatic 12 gauge shotguns, which are mere imitations of the Benelli M4, that fall apart after very low round counts.

I'm still curious about the spurious, unlicensed HK marked launchers on the original pulled ad.
Whodunit? Kale Kalip? The middleman? Both parties conspired?

This ain't new in the world of arms dealing. Looks like something Efraim Diveroli (Botach connection) would do.

This. Who marked the launchers with HK marks? I'm not saying AU is lying, but I'll be frank, they haven't been honest on several occasions in the past. But yea, if there is 100 people who are going to shell out for a clone-ish flare launcher at 4x the cost of the B&T, they must like setting money on fire. $2500 tops. And this isn't a "killing it" market right now for dealers. People are not shelling out for firearms like they were a year or two ago.

Any of you who honestly believe AU would be involved with adding H&K logo to a non-H&K product are delusional. Complaining about taking a while to ship or pricing versus outright fraud is a huge leap and definitely not AU

You mean a third party hacked their website and fraudulently put a HK marked turkish grenade launcher on their website?

Or did they - as industry professionals and established dealers - missed to do their due diligence on a couple-hundred-thousand-dollar deal and got mislead by a dubious third party?

Or did they just probe the market to see how stupid the customers are and got called out and now try to save face.

You sound really unhinged for someone who isn’t even in our country to buy these

I was pretty clear in what I posted, AU was offered these items from a seller in the U.S. and jumped on the deal (obviously not the Turkish manufacturer). AU was shown photos and under the assumption they were genuine HK items, which they posted while they awaited their arrival. Obviously no one received any with those markings and why they were marked in the one pictured is something you can inquire with the guys who took the picture

He might be one of the most logical, truth-seeking people I've ever met. It seems your assessment comes from the fact that you don't like that he (and several of us) are highly skeptical of the story you're trying to spin on Arms Unlimited's behalf.

I noticed 99 percent of your posts/discussions are about AU, defending AU or heads up'n AU products are you an employee/owner what gives?

Why would they deal with anyone who deceived them from the start? Makes ZERO sense...............If their buy price was negotiated on them being "HK", after they found out they were not genuine seems like their new negotiated price was not reflected in their retail "sale" price just saying............

And if we’re being honest, I wouldn’t say Arms Unlimited is above this. After all they did infringe upon HK’s intellectual property to release this product.

  1. Arms Unlimited Product - AU Enhanced Ambidextrous AR15/M4 Magazine Release
  2. Patent - US9541340B2 - Magazine release apparatus and firearms including such magazine release apparatus - Google Patents

Just saying!
