I have not been on here in a long time so I apologize if you all already know this but I confirmed today at AUSA that the MR556A4 will be announced next month as one of the three new HKs.
Did you have a number 4? 🙃There's number two in my prediction, now just need to be right with the bolt gun as three!
How many times does it need to be called out, and by how many people? Isn’t it enough that HK USA engaged in the conversation yesterday and took the feedback directly? What will additional complaints about the same issue, repeated over and over, actually achieve? Do you have anything original to add, or are you just going to restate your opinion that a company you’re not affiliated with should have done what you think is the right thing?I’m not sure why people on here feel the need to complain about people rightfully calling out something that should have been done.
HK USA, as discussed if you've read through the forum, in it's entirety is about the same size as the parking lot in HKO. If they ever decided to expand, which maybe hinges on it's success here with the current product launches they're working on, it would be very expensive.Genuine question. Why won’t hk USA spin up tooling to make US produced bcg, barrel extension, upper receiver forging dies, stamp forging in the USA like they do for the lower receivers.
Why keep importing those items and be held down by German export law and ATF import law?
It’s a US rifle. Surely HK USA could make op rods, bolts, extractors and other small parts as well as HK Germany.
Well then, feel free to hit them up about how they can utilize their facility to make what you want. They can make lower receivers but not barrel extensions? Because the facility is to small?
I have worked at forging press plants.
I have worked at CNC facilities.
1 takes way more space up and utilities to run the operation on the daily than the other.
I’m not trying to be a smart mouth. But they can’t make a barrel extension with out the denial tab in the USA because theirs no room at the facility. How do other firearm manufacturers make barrel extension?Well then, feel free to hit them up about how they can utilize their facility to make what you want.
I’m not sure why people on here feel the need to complain about people rightfully calling out something that should have been done. That’s some really weird controlling behavior, trying to control what people say about a mfg as if it directly affects you in some way. HK USA definitely deserves all of the hate it’s getting. Chrome lining these barrels would have put the HK416 upper and MR223 secondary market in a choke hold lol.
I’m not sure what type of reaction HK apologist and hkusa would have expected? You cannot be that dull.
Removing the denial tab is easy peasy as outlined elsewhere in this thread. Why are you so opposed to a little basic Dremel work which is a staple for most of us who are deeply into this hobby?I’m not trying to be a smart mouth. But they can’t make a barrel extension with out the denial tab in the USA because theirs no room at the facility. How do other firearm manufacturers make barrel extension?
If it’s so easy why can’t HK USA make one or remove it. How about offer uppers with it already removed.Removing the denial tab is easy peasy as outlined elsewhere in this thread. Why are you so opposed to a little basic Dremel work which is a staple for most of us who are deeply into this hobby?
You’re up to about 10 posts specifically about the denial tab.
If you put a Brownells gun together, you know that of which I speak when it comes to desired modifications.
Message received repetitively loud and clear. You need to stop now. We’ve been over this ad nauseum and you’re not letting go.If it’s so easy why can’t HK USA make one or remove it. How about offer uppers with it already removed.
Again I’m the monster as a consumer that expects a premium product to not be bastardized due to ATF import law and German export law.
Some how nefarious arms can make barrels with out denial tabs but HK USA can’t.
For the the best manufacturer in the world with a world class product theirs seems to be a lot of issues with production capabilities and compromising on product because of their inability to manufacture US parts and having to import nearly the whole rifle except what legal has to be made in the USA.
German law then put a damper on features due to its export law.
Then we decide no chrome lining on top.
I’m the bad guy who whins to much for calling a spade a spade.
Nope, but I could say it won't be any fanboy crack pipe dream caliber/platform. Dope is bad kids.Did you have a number 4? 🙃
Just don’t link em to the talk of an HK bolt gun on the hide 😬. Pleasing an HK enthusiast is child’s play compared to that bunch.Nope, but I could say it won't be any fanboy crack pipe dream caliber/platform. Dope is bad kids.
#56Lovely! What number is your mug?
Also, I don't think a lot of those that cry for chrome lined barrels do also own a bore scope or have had a look into a well used chrome lined barrel...As I've stated before on here... The chrome isn't magic. You can fully DESTROY a barrel with just semi auto in under 1k if one is set out to do so.
