The handguard barrel issue is old, it's resolved now, and by the way, how can you complain about front heavy spear if we are comparing with the hk mr556 who is way front havier and way havier in general!

By the way, a lot of SPecial forces are switching from 416 to speat lt, SAS, italian special forces in primis!

Many euro special operations units have also transitioned away from the Spear LT in the extremely short use window.

Count me in. I can't wait to break this thing down. Personally.....I like it thus far....and I like the grip.

I mean.....think about it. If you CAN shoot the barrel out, HK USA has an exceptional warranty program.

We'll see.

nope, I personally know people in the Italian special forces, they collaborate with SAS and French special forces, a good part have switched to MCX, especially in 300blk, it takes months if not years before adopting a new platform, I understand that it is still in service and I don't see any other way for now. in fact, many have moved from the old rattler and virtus to the new spear lt. The spear heavy is having little success instead.

I mean with the free barrel replacement it’s the best of both worlds, you get the accuracy and the longevity (via new barrel). I’ll probably pick one up once the price comes down a bit.

Do we know how the warranty on the barrel works? I heard lifetime in the video so I’m hoping it is attached to the gun and not the owner. If it only works for the original buyer then that is less appealing.

Also do we know if the 11” upper will be one of the options or only 16”?

While it's always possible, HK will not release any "legacy" guns. Sure there's plenty of a following but not feasible to retool and be able to sell enough product. I think it will be centered around the main market, carry pistols, the 5.56 carbine variants and the bolt gun market(precision oriented). All three have an attraction and need for the individual and contract requirements.
If we see any legacy guns produced stateside, it would most likely be a US SP5. That one really has zero advantage to HK, only to the US consumer.

The CC9 was a little bit behind the initial video drop as well.
True hopefully it updates over the weekend. But I wonder how many guys are calling their local dealers today about availability.

Also in regards to the MP7, HK already has a semi auto only MP7 that they sell to British law enforcement?

Do I put Dijon mustard on my sandwich or am I the one who puts the regular yellow mustard and is fine with it?
Yellow mustard is delicious.

Those are still machine guns by the ATF’s definition, as you’d only need to swap in a 3 position safety selector to make it a machine gun.

Not me, I'm gonna wait until after the initial rush for this one. Just got two cans and a Beretta 1301 recently in addition to my CC9 so I'm going to let my wallet cool until after the first part of the year. 😂

The potential new MP7 being considered will be produced in the US, once HK overcomes the hurdles with the German government and the ATF.

If I was a betting man, I would anticipate a G36 variant before the MP7.
