Hk will never make an American G36 they can't import parts from Germany. I have had this discussion with multiple people already.

I agree, and even if they do. 30 years too late. Also it'll probably be 4k plus if they drop. When you can grab a perfectly good clone for 2k or below right now.

The S5 receiver was perfect. I like the finish and markings as well as, if not better than, the TG36.

I helped a local install a k barrel on his S5 receiver today. I was impressed with the quality. It felt like it had more glass in it than the TG36 receiver. If that makes sense.

I got a receiver from @S5Tactical

And a C kit from hkparts

HKP mag release would not allow spring to nest so that axle could pass through, used German.

Lower group allows the extended bolt release push forward and displace rounds when mag inserted. It took a while to discover the cause of the mis-feeds. I've since disabled the bho, and now it runs like a sewing machine. I have a request into hkparts for a replacement.

A 22 is cheap to shoot, still fun, and safer. However, it’s never going to be as fun or as in demand, as. 5.56. To me it’s like getting an I4 when there’s a V8 option.

Now if you phrased it this exact way vs saying "have fun with that" I would say differently. Agree to disagree. Still fun to throw it back at you. Pretty sure the reason Tommy got out of it was because of HK's future MP7 & G36 offerings coming in the future.

Would rather build than buy outright. Knowing HK it's going to cost an arm and a leg. Already sourcing most of my parts for HK parts because most of the US made stuff is OOS lol.

Still need a carry handle optic at some point.
