I'll admit that this doesn't seem to be an immediate "Day 1" (or even 1st month) HK purchase for me. I'll wait to hear from actual shooters/owners to gain their experience and knowledge with this new piece before I totally write it off.

I can't believe the disdain on this forum.
If y'all think it looks like a Taurus, then it looks close enough to the SFP9cc as well. I mean it's a micro pistol, what do you expect?

And just for the record, the SFP9cc is NEVER coming to the US. It is not importable. That is the reason HK USA is making the CC9 in the US. This has been discussed ad nauseam.

Where has this been discussed ad nauseam? Genuinely curious I would love to know.

Don’t you think they could just make the SFP9CC in the US? Isn’t the point of expanding HKUSA to focus on manufacturing guns for the American market that normally wouldn’t be available because of strict import laws? The SFP9CC should’ve been HKUSAs first release since it was highly anticipated. Sorry but this feels like a bait and switch and it’s going to piss people off.

So, looking at the rail more closely, would that even work for mounting? There's basically no groove above the pic rail that the clamps of a light would seat into if that makes sense. It honestly looks like they had a slick dust cover and just quickly added a rail without properly incorporating it. Is this confirmed to be what we're getting or is this a very early prototype? That would explain why the dust cover looks sloppy. I just can't shake the feeling that something is very off with the CC9.

Edit: after looking at how the tlr7sub mounts maybe it wouldn’t matter but it just looks weird to me.

The original patent drawing did not have a rail so perhaps it did change at some point.

I have questions:

Where is the barrel made? If the answer is "in the US", is it the same steel/same manufacturing process as the German barrels?

Is the iron sight dovetail the P2000 pattern, like on the VP9 OR?

Is there any flavor of SureFire light that will fit on it (XSC)?

Will there be a paddle mag release option?

Does it have any small parts compatibility with the VP9?

Hmm really had my heart set on the SFP9cc after seeing it over the past several months, now I'm not sure how I feel. Definitely prefer the looks of the SFP9cc over the CC9. The SFP9cc just looks classier and has better proportions in my eyes.

I'll keep an open mind on the CC9 and wait for more information, pictures, and reviews, but I think this may actually push me toward a P2000sk. Been carrying a PPQ with a compensator all summer and occasionally a PPS, but only if being discreet is an absolute necessity. Wanting something in-between size wise with at least a 10 round capacity, but none of the micros are really doing it for me.
